In addition to internships, the magnet offers students the chance to earn academic and vocational scholarship money including the Bright Futures and Gold Seal programs to qualified students. Last year magnet students earned more than $1.9 million in scholarships.

The Paladins field 24 teams for boys and girls and several junior varsity squads. Additionally, the school boasts award-winning programs: Student Government, Journalism, DECA, Music, Health Service Occupations, Drama, Animal Science & Horticulture and Honor Societies.
